Predicting the maintenance of pumps

About the project

The maintenance of sewage pumping stations has been carried out at fixed time intervals for many years: mechanics drive by the various pumping stations every day to check whether the pump installation is still running properly. By providing additional information about the remote pump installation, we add an extra dimension to maintenance. For each pump it is now possible to calculate the efficiency of the pump by using some measured values.

We compare the current return that is determined in this way with the return at the time of commissioning. This makes the degradation of the installation visible. This is often due to pollution, which in turn is used as a signal to send a mechanic along. In addition, vibration sensors can be used which, via the control of the installation, generate alarm signals when i.e. bearing damage is imminent.
